I have today set a revised sponsorship target of £1,500 as thanks to the large numbers of you who have sponsored or pledged so far I have exceeded my initial target of £1,000 with a full 7 weeks to go before the ride.
I am staggered by your generosity and know that it will be a great additional motivational tool on the days when my head and my legs turn round and say I shouldn't be rolling 1,000 miles even if it is all downhill.

What's it all about?
Hi, as should be easy for all to see I am in the middle of an early Midlife crisis and because I can't afford a shiny red sportscar, (or any other type of mistress!), I am about to embark on a little bike ride instead.
In order that I can sample the delights of the Uk, whilst doing good for charity (Guide Dogs for the Blind) and avoiding the washing up for a fortnight, I will set sail so to speak, from the far north on 8th July 2007, travelling downhill all the way, to the deep south hopefully in time for cream teas and a pasty on the 22nd.

Although the Jogle itself is a solo venture, I couldn't do it without the support of:
